Ethologist intern (July - August 2018)

• Observation of the behavior of Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus) before their reintroduction

• Member of the ethological team in the ex-situ conservation program of the Iberian Lynx

• Video surveillance of the animals present in the center (30 individuals)

• Monitoring of the learning of hunting behaviors by baby lynx before their reintroduction into the wild

• Observation by scan sampling of all lynx once an hour (based on a pre-defined ethogram);

• Continuous observation of some individuals (also based on a pre-defined ethogram);

• Data management;

• Assisting animal caretakers and veterinarians in other tasks, if needed.
